FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is discrete event simulation (DES)?

Discrete event simulation (DES) is a modeling method where the system changes state only at specific events (e.g. operation start, transport end). It lets you replay thousands of production hours in seconds and find where bottlenecks form.

What is a digital twin of a production line?

A digital twin is a faithful model of a production line you can change risk-free. In MODELMATIC you build it in ModelFactory to quantify the impact of an investment before moving anything on the floor.

What is an MES?

An MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is software for running production in real time: work orders, operation progress, OEE, BOM and reports. ModelMES delivers these in the browser, without a costly rollout.

Do I need to install any software?

No. MODELMATIC runs in the browser. You create a company account and sign in via SSO — no per-station installs and no per-machine licenses.

Is my production data secure?

Yes. Each company uses an isolated instance (tenant). Production data is not shared with other companies or third parties, and sensitive actions are recorded in an audit log.

Who is MODELMATIC for?

For small and mid-size manufacturers, process engineers, planners and production managers who want to make decisions based on data, not intuition.

How do I get started?

Book a 30-minute demo on your own data. We'll show what your current bottleneck costs and what production would look like without it. Contact: kontakt@modelmatic.pl.
