What is ModelFactory?

It is a discrete event simulation tool — it reproduces the flow of material through stations, buffers, cranes and transport over time. Instead of guessing how a change will affect production, you run it virtually and watch takt, WIP, utilization and throughput.

Everything happens in the browser — no installs, no costly licenses. You build the model from ready-made blocks and see the result as an animation that both the boardroom and the operator understand.

Station
A workstation that processes a part for a set cycle time. It has a state: idle, working or blocked. From its utilization and takt you learn the line throughput.

An inter-operation store for work in progress (WIP). It has limited capacity — when it fills up, it blocks the stations upstream. This is where you see the queue grow before the bottleneck.

A routing is the order of operations a product follows — from the first to the last station. Different product variants can take different routes, and the simulator guides every part along them step by step.
